2011 NFL Mock Draft: Peter King Picks Cam Newton First Overall, Steelers To Pick Brandon Harris

In Sports Illustrateds NFL Draft preview, Peter King Steelers Jerseys has a mock draft of the first round. Cam Newton, Marcell Dareus, and Von Miller go with the first three picks (to the Panthers, Broncos and Bills, respectively), while TCU quarterback Andy Dalton makes it all the way up to the Dolphins at No. 15. King has Mike Pouncey going with the No. 17 pick to the New England Patriots.He has the Steelers picking Miami quarterback Brandon Harris with the Rashard Mendenhall Jersey No. 31 overall pick. While hes not the first NFL mock drafter to guess that the Steelers will pick Harris, Harris size (5-foot-9) may steer the Steelers away. The Steelers like taller corners. King doesnt have Texas Aaron Williams in the first round, and my guess would be that the Steelers would take Williams first. Its also worth pointing out that they brought in Virginias Ras-I Dowling and Texas Curtis Brown for pre-draft visits, and neither of those cornerbacks are likely to be available when the Steelers pick at the end of the Chris Kemoeatu Jersey second round.
